The Bee Goddess merits infinite respect. She's a special diety with whom I'm excited and honoured to be playing with. I
share this story as an offering to the Bee Goddess, as a way to revive the Sacred Feminine paradigm to Mother Earth.
In Taos, the August afternoon is sweltering. I pull off into the yard/driveway of my friends' Envision Art Gallery.
Seeking shade. I'm from the Canadian prairies where summers are milder. (Until these times of climate change.) A big old
Cottonwood, whose upper limbs died off in the drought & have been chopped off, calls me to its cool shade. I create my
own parking spot. (My rebellious nature arises when it comes to parking the pony according to the rules & I've even gone
to jail for outstanding parking tickets.) To my great surprize, I notice bees swooping in and out of the tree trunk.....
My immediate question, "Are these honey bees who've swarmed? Or, are they natural wild bees?" I get out of the
car & walk around the trunk of the giant old cottonwood. From 10 years as a bee keeper in Saskatchewan, I know how to
approach a bee hive. Never from the front which is the fly way....
I'm softly moving closer, about a meter away from the hole in the trunk. Suddenly, a bee zooms in on me and stings
me right at the 3rd eye chakra. Ouch!!!
